Let's cut to the chase. Unfortunately, there is no safe way to ensure a cross-country bike ride this summer. But now the good news. There is so much good we can all do right here in New Jersey. That's why we're diligently planning a four-week New Jersey bike tour + volunteer mission. Riders will tackle all twenty-one counties, reaching every corner of our remarkable state with dozens of volunteer opportunities with social service organizations to help get the state back on its feet.
Each weekend will be a Signature Ride where friends and family (that means you) can sign up to traverse a section of the state (High Point, Long Beach Island, Cape May, the Delaware River, the Statue of Liberty + GWB) on Saturday and volunteer with the riders in that community on Sunday. Details of those rides to follow.
The Dream Project has always worked because as cool as the bike ride is, and we know - it's cool, it's really not about the bike ride at all. It's about the people who come together to support their communities.
Right now, that community is our home here in New Jersey.
The goal (fingers and toes crossed) is to kick off July 17 in New Brunswick and wrap up there on August 15th.
Assuming we can make this happen, we need help. If you'd still like to be part of this effort - as host, volunteer, or weekend warrior - please let us know.
