          OUR MISSION

We envision a world in which young adults dream big with the goal of bettering their communities.

The Dream Projects helps young adults grow into leaders within their communities through service and philanthropy. In practice, that means cross-country fundraising and volunteering trips to support the work of charitable organizations. We bridge the gap between nonprofits doing great work and young adults who want to give back to the communities around them.

In doing so, The Dream Project sets our riders up for a lifetime of prioritizing civic engagement, volunteerism, and philanthropy that lasts long after they get off their bikes.

          It started with a dream.

In 2013, a group of five college students from Rutgers University set out to raise awareness for the plight of pediatric cancer patients. To pursue this goal, they biked 1,615 miles from New Brunswick, New Jersey to Disney World in Orlando, Florida over the course of one month that summer. With the help of sponsors, friends, and family the riders were able to make their crazy, seemingly impossible idea a reality. The group, referred to as Dream4TK, was a completely student-run grassroots initiative that hoped to continue inspiring others as their passion for helping others continued to live past their inaugural trip.

Dream4TK has evolved into The Dream Project thanks to the continued dedication of one of those first riders, Gabrielle Rossi.

          2. FUNDRAISE

Dreamers need to raise a fundraising minimum in order to participate on their trip. Don't worry, we'll provide all the tools and resources you need to succeed.

          3. VOLUNTEER

Dreamers also provide service to the community in partnership with local charities. Each participant volunteers at least eight hours a month at their team's charity leading up to the start of their journey.

          4. RIDE

Talk about the trip of a lifetime! Take in the sights, eat regional delicacies, snap some pics, and meet the people who make up the country. Along the way, you'll continue to volunteer at charities that champion a similar mission to the one you're supporting back home.

AN UPDATE FROM THE DREAM PROJECT
          April 21, 2020 · GABBY
As you can imagine, I've been closely following the rapid spread of Coronavirus across the United States. Safety has and always will be my chief concern. The safety of the riders, homestay hosts, and charity partners is of ultimate importance over dollars raised, hours volunteered, or miles rode....

Biking from New Jersey to Portland, Oregon for charity was never something I thought I would be able to do. Yet the past two months of my life have been dedicated to the incredible feat of pedaling 3,500 miles across the United States, and raising over $3,500 for Elijah’s Promise soup kitchen...
